About PG Tutors
We are a community of creative, knowledgeable, and flexible educators, who provide personalized and individualized tutoring sessions that fit the needs of your learner. We offer homework support, concept development, and test preparation to help students excel in math and sciences.
Who We Are
PG Tutors is led by two BC certified teachers with experiences in education from across the world. Founded in 2021, PG Tutors was built on two visionary pillars:
- Providing students with an atmosphere of comfortable and safe learning so that we help build happy and successful students who are confident in their skills.
- Providing professional and developing experts opportunities to express their passion for science and education in a way that builds the community.
PG Tutors require masks be worn for all students and tutors during tutoring sessions if they take place at home, in keeping with the provincial mandate. Online tutoring via Zoom will also be available.
Meet the creators of PG Tutors

Ryan Chowdhry
Ryan’s extensive experience in tutoring, education, math, and physics has led him to developing a strategic and flexible approach to learning. Ryan’s vision is to extend this approach to every student in Prince George and beyond.

Jocelyn Chowdhry
Jocelyn’s true passion lies in curriculum development and building fundamental skills to better prepare students for higher education. Jocelyn’s vision is to build a plan for success for every student she comes across.
Meet Our Tutors

Rachel
Rachel is a Queen’s University graduate in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to many years of experience as a tutor and TA, she has five years of practical experience as a mechanical engineer. As a tutor she enjoys helping students view concepts from a different perspective and clarify understanding.

Sam
Sam is a UNBC MSc graduate in Biochemistry. She has years of teaching and tutoring experience in sciences at grade school and university levels. Her instructor and tutor experience includes working to develop educational programs catered to the BC science curriculum. She understands that all students learn differently and has experience adapting tutoring styles that best fit each individual.

Katy
Katy is a second year engineering student at UNBC. She grew up in the Okanogan and Calgary, and has spent time tutoring her own siblings before deciding to do it professionally. Katy developed an interest in engineering while taking design courses in high school. She enjoys explaining things and solving puzzles.

Catherine
Catherine is a fourth-year physics and mathematics student who developed a love for mathematics through high school and really discovered her passion during her first-year mechanic’s class. To share her love of the field, Catherine got involved with the Physics Student Association and is their current president.

Mattaya
Mattaya is a second year environmental engineering student at UNBC. Mattaya completed AP course through high school, which sparked an interest in engineering, and gave her plenty of opportunities to help her peers. She enjoys solving problems in math and physics and is enthusiastic in helping others do the same.

Aur
Aur is a second-year environmental engineering student at UNBC. She grew up in the Kootenay region of BC and started tutoring in grade 12, when she discovered that she has a real knack for communicating. She is passionate about math and physics, and has a wide array of experience in tutoring both subjects.

Nikhil
Nikhil is originally from India, and moved to Saskatchewan in 2014 to pursue a PhD in chemistry. Nikhil has taught in high schools and universities while completing his PhD. Currently, Nikhil is a full-time instructor at UNBC and continues to work with young learners to support their passion for science and chemistry.

Shauna is currently completing her third year of a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She is passionate about science (especially biology) and has working toward becoming a science teacher and to help students find the fun in difficult topics. Shauna offers tutoring in both biology, chemistry, and math.

Joy
Joy is completing her second year of a Bachelors of Science in Nursing at CNC. Joy has been passionate about biology, especially human biology, since she learned how to read. She loves teaching, and a long term goal for her is to become a nursing instructor. Joy offers tutoring in both English and Biology.
